Sports/Camp Physicals at Urgent Care and Walk-in Clinics in Philadelphia, PA
AFC Urgent Care & Walk-in Clinics Offer a Wide Variety of Same Day, Comprehensive Physical Examinations and Medical Screenings
Our AFC Urgent Care Centers can provide immediate physicals for men, women, and children in the Philadelphia metro area 7 days a week. Our walk-in clinics are excellent choices for last minute physicals for a variety of activities. Many parents have brought their children to our facilities having learned only early in the day that physical forms were due the next morning. Don’t risk your children missing out on a sport or other activities by getting a physical promptly from one of our board-certified physicians. Our experienced doctors will get you and your child in and out as quickly as possible with completed forms after a thorough medical exam.
Some types of physicals we offer include:
Sports Physical: A physical is usually a requirement before your child can participate in a new sports season. These screenings are essential to make sure your child is in good health to play the sport in question. An exam by one of our doctors will look for any underlining conditions that may lead to injury or illness while participating. This physical is available year-round at our walk-in clinics.
Camp Physical: Parents usually plan on getting their child’s physical for camp a month before summer begins. This trend often leads to a bottleneck with their primary care physician as everyone else is trying to get a physical scheduled also. Avoid the rush and unworkable appointment hours with your primary care doctor and just walk into one of our urgent care centers for prompt service. The extended weekday hours of our local AFC Urgent Care Centers make it very easy to visit on your schedule.
School Physical: If you’ve moved to the Philadelphia metro area, your child may need a new physical before starting school. You might not have a primary care physician in this area yet, and if you are a new patient, it may be weeks before there is an opening. Don’t wait and get a school physical from any of our doctors at any AFC Urgent Care Center. We’ll fill out the required school district forms so your child won’t miss a day of their education. It is also a good idea to schedule annual checkups to make sure your children are up to date on their vaccinations and are in good general health. We carry many of the required vaccines on site and can quickly teach your child’s immune system how to fend off disease while they learn how to add and subtract. No appointment is needed!
Our AFC Urgent Care Centers are open from 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday and from 8 am to 5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. We accept most major insurances and have self-pay rates available for the uninsured. Call the AFC Urgent Care Center in the Philadelphia Metro region you plan to visit, and our friendly staff can answer any other additional questions.
